American Tower and Fundacion Paraguaya delivered food kits to different communities

Several communities in 5 cities of the country benefited from the delivery of food kits by the American Tower company, in alliance with the Fundacion Paraguaya. The donation was made to help the communities affected by the health emergency caused by Covid-19.

“Many people are having a hard time, thanks to the Fundacion Paraguaya’s national network and teamwork with the private sector; we were able to bring groceries to the families that needed the most. Thanks to the American Tower, we have distributed more than 930 food kits for families from various parts of the country,” said Martin Burt, executive director of the Fundacion Paraguaya.

The food kit has more than 10.5 kilos, including sugar, noodles, flour, rice in bulk, salt, bread, beans and oil. In Villarrica, the kits were given to the Local Health Council; in Mariano Roque Alonso to the Parish of Sagrado Corazón de Jesús; in Minga Guazú to the Parish of María Auxiliadora; in Caaguazú to the San Francisco Parish; and in Paraguarí to the Parish of said city.

As an added social value, each food kit was bought from Cerrito Market, which is a venture of Fundacion Paraguaya’s Cerrito Agricultural School, where the main beneficiaries of the purchase were its students. In addition, within the same aid framework, 19 sinks were delivered to the Fundación Paraguay Katupyry Rekavo, in the city of Oviedo.

With this, American Tower and the Fundacion Paraguaya strengthen their commitment to the elimination of poverty and join efforts by providing support to those most vulnerable in this time of crisis.
