Fundación Paraguaya will provide technical assistance to the Government of Ecuador

The Government of Ecuador announced -through the official account of its Foreign Ministry, – that the Fundación Paraguaya will be providing technical assistance in agricultural development projects.  Together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the aforementioned country, the organization developed a pilot plan last year, and its results allowed the (Ecuadorian) Government to formalize this alliance and the commitment to promote it with the more than 6,000,000 families of the agricultural sector in that country.

At the beginning of 2019, Martín Burt, executive director of the Fundación Paraguaya and the president of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno held a meeting during the World Economic Forum, in Davos and months later, a delegation of Ecuadorian authorities visited our country to learn in depth the work of Fundación Paraguaya in the field, meeting families who apply the Poverty Stoplight and the Cerrito Agricultural School.

Following that visit, a team from the Fundación Paraguaya traveled to Ecuador to adapt the methodology to be used and train officials of the Ecuadorian government. “We have worked to change people’s lives for over 35 years, we have landed in more than 200 municipalities in Paraguay and taken our programs to more than 30 countries, and we see this alliance as a sign that we are on the right path” said Martín Burt. It is the first time that Paraguay has provided technical assistance to the government of another country.
