Fundación Paraguaya’s Founder in Davos 2020

On 21-24 January of 2020 is taking place the 50th meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the most important social and political innovation event in the world, where the founder of the Fundación Paraguaya, Martín Burt, will participate; he is the only Paraguayan to take part in the meeting organized by the Schwab Foundation. As every year, the event will convene world leaders, heads of state, businessmen, representatives of non-governmental organizations and global referents on various topics.

 

 

 

This annual meeting will promote “Stakeholder Capitalism” under the theme “Partnerships for a cohesive and sustainable world” seeking to build a way to promote actions that will help governments and international institutions to track progress towards the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.

 

 

 

Martín Burt is a member of the board of directors of the Schwab Foundation, his participation seeks to position on the agenda of the event issues that affect our region, such as poverty, institutional fragility and inert policies, in order to propose real solutions that give response to these realities.

 

 

 

The Founder of the Fundación Paraguaya will mark his presence by attending the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Schwab Foundation, in addition to holding a meeting with the founder and director of the Forum, Klaus Schwab, seeking to generate new contact networks, invitations to other international meetings; and above all, create interest in the work of the Fundación Paraguaya and other innovations made in our country and the region. The Poverty Stoplight, created by Burt, has a significant participation in this meeting, since it is being implemented in more than 25 countries participating in this meeting.

 

 

 

Among the sessions that Martín Burt will take part are: “Balancing local and global inequality”, “Strategic look: Latin America”, “Defining education 4.0”, “Developing technology with a focus on human rights”, “Reforms for the growth and inclusion in Latin America ”,“ Meeting with young global leaders ”,“ Social innovation and the Sustainable Development Goals”,“ Responding to new expectations in Latin America ”, and“ The power of narrative ”.

 

 

Among the 50th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum will participate, among others, leaders of our region such as Jair Bolsonaro, from Brazil; Iván Duque, from Colombia and Lenin Moreno, from Ecuador. The 50th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum will have as participants -among others, – to leaders of our region such as Jair Bolsonaro, from Brazil; Iván Duque, from Colombia; Juan Guaidó, from Venezuela; and Lenin Moreno, from Ecuador. Precisely, with the latter, the founder of the Fundación Paraguaya held a meeting to keep talking and strengthening the relationships that were created, through the interest of the Ecuadorian government in replicating the model of self-sustaining schools in its agricultural institutes and schools, as well as the application of the Poverty Stoplight in rural communities of the country since last year.
