Entrepreneurial Education

With this program we seek to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit of young people so that the experiences and knowledge acquired on the basis of their own effort can be forged in a better future for them and their families.

100,000

young people and women were benefited with this program in 2017.

School Enterprise Challenge

More than 7,000 educational institutions participated in the School Enterprise Challenge

It is a pedagogical tool that is applied in all educational levels, where students, teachers and the educational community must develop a profitable enterprise in their institution, in order to generate resources to solve the specific needs of their institutions.

This proposal is made in more than 100 countries, promoted by our sister organization, Teach A Man to Fish, from the United Kingdom. Paraguay is the country with the greatest worldwide participation in this educational revolution.

Stoplight Olympics

In 2017, more than 11,000 students from around the country participated in the Olympics.

It is an intercollegiate competition based on the Poverty Stoplight platform, which seeks to empower and educate young people in overcoming different vulnerabilities of multidimensional poverty. Through different slogans and challenges, students strengthen their skills of teamwork, leadership and involvement with reality.

This competition has transcended our borders, taking place in Uruguay and Tanzania.

Junior Achievement Paraguay

In 2017, 639 young people developed their entrepreneurial skills through the programs of the Junior Achievement.

For more than 20 years, we have been the representatives in Paraguay of the subsidiary of Junior Achievement Worldwide, an organization of 465,000 volunteers who have been working in the development of youth entrepreneurial skills for 98 years in more than 100 countries.

Through educational programs, we work in partnership with companies, professionals, educational institutions and teachers, to train students under the principle of “Learning by doing”. The three pillars of the program are: entrepreneurial spirit, financial education and preparation for work.

Forum of Entrepreneurs Paraguay

The Forum of Entrepreneurs Paraguay (FEP) is the most traditional entrepreneurial event in Paraguay, with more than 19 years of experience. This meeting develops and strengthens the entrepreneurial skills of young people during 3 days of training and inspiration, through training activities, competitions and challenges. Young people have the opportunity to learn and interact with different outstanding entrepreneurs and generate a network of contacts, in a space that encourages disruptive thinking and the development of new ideas that can benefit their environment, being themselves the protagonists of change.

The Company and the Cooperative

In “The Company” program, young people develop the ability to create a company, where they themselves are shareholders, managers and workers of it. “The Cooperative”, on the other hand, is a local adaptation, made by our JA Paraguay team, where young people use the cooperative model to develop joint ventures focused on social and environmental solutions.

Economy for success

It is an educational proposal that has the support of Equifax Paraguay, where students learn to define their personal skills and interests, explore possible careers and discover the value of education for the achievement of their goals. They also learn to prepare budgets, they also learn about financial management, as well as the different offers of the financial products.

Emprendé Paraguay

More than 2,236 young people in vulnerable situations are beneficiaries of the program.

This is a program of training and scaling of youth undertakings, which seeks to provide tools so that beneficiaries can support their ventures. In this proposal, we receive the support of the Inter-American Development Bank and the Youth Business International.

Youth Ambassadors

13 Paraguayan young people from all over the country are chosen each year to live an exchange experience.

It is an exchange initiative promoted by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the Department of State of the United States and the Friends of the Americas organization, where 13 young leaders at a national level, between the ages of 15 and 17, receive a full scholarship to conduct a cultural exchange in the United States, who represent Paraguay and participate in training in leadership, social entrepreneurship and community project development.

Emprendemos Juntas

317 women benefited with financial education, prevention of violence and development of trust groups.

This program seeks to strengthen the capacities of women entrepreneurs through training on aspects of inner-self and motivation, encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit. We work through social projects, in cooperation with the public and private sectors, so that women can access a quality entrepreneurial and financial education. The work methodology is carried out through theoretical-practical workshops with groups of women in their respective communities or companies
