Final details are discussed for new constructions at the Cerrito School and Hotel

Fundación Paraguaya along with its San Francisco de Asís Agricultural School and the Cerrito Hotel, were visited by USAID – ASHA technicians who are monitoring the project “Building of a Self-sustaining School”, which is approaching the end of its planning stage to give way to the new building interventions.

The program seeks to improve the quality of life of students and faculty, in addition to providing spaces for innovative hands-on education, and ensuring the institution’s sustainability through the construction and improvement of infrastructure in the following areas:

Dorms: Expansion of rooms to accommodate an additional 20 female students and 30 male students, including equipment, bathrooms, and laundry, as well as shared spaces.

Outdoor recreational spaces: sports courts and changing rooms.

Dairy factory: construction, machinery, equipment, and effluent treatment plant.

Cerrito Hotel: as the students also carry out their educational practices in the hotel facilities, expansion works are planned with two two-bedroom cabins and two four-bedroom cabins, and the equipment of a cabin.

Shortly, the works will be underway and will mean a new stage of growth for this Self-Sustainable School model, which has won multiple awards worldwide.
