Fundación Paraguaya receives two important awards through the Poverty Stoplight

Fundación Paraguaya and its Poverty Stoplight tool received two international awards to maintain and expand the scope of the model that has already lifted thousands of families around the world out of poverty.

The Fundación obtained the Skoll Award, it is a fund that seeks to support organizations with collaborative initiatives that have great impact. Thus, Fundación Paraguaya, in collaboration with Kiva, was awarded USD 400,000 that will help expand the Poverty Stoplight to countries in South Asia, such as the Philippines and India.

With the information provided by the Poverty Stoplight, Kiva will be able to assess the impact of its services for a better understanding of the needs of its clients in these communities, optimizing its resources and designing products tailored to their needs.

The second international award comes from the Atlas organization, with the Think Tank Shark Tank, a competition between 6 Atlas Network beneficiaries. Representatives from each shortlisted project gave a 5-minute pitch of their innovative ideas during the Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner, in front of a panel of judges and an audience of social innovators and supporters.

Luis Fernando Sanabria, general manager of Fundación Paraguaya represented our organization, which had the honor of being selected as the winner and received a prize of USD 25,000. This fund will be used for the implementation of the Poverty Stoplight among 30 families in low-income communities, in order to provide them with the necessary tools and guidance to get out of the cycle of poverty.
